Arts in Education Mini Grants Guidelines

Applicants may receive a maximum of $1,000 using established AIE program rates for the artist's fees, travel, lodging and supplies. Schools or organizations receiving an AIE mini-grant must provide a 1:1 cash match for the mini-grant request amount. Mini-grants will fund programs scheduled October 1, 2017, to August 31, 2018. The deadline will be ongoing until all money is allocated. Applications will be reviewed in-house and funded on a first-come basis. Click HERE for a complete list of guidelines.

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be a school district recognized by the Arkansas Department of Education or have an IRS Letter of Determination qualifying the school/organization or its administrative authority as a nonprofit organization.
  • Provide a teacher or organization staff member to remain in the classroom/organization site during the mini-residency program.
  • Be an organization or institution involved in youth programming for a minimum of three years, and must have paid and/or volunteer staff who will devote time and effort to implement the mini-residency program.

Schools and organizations receiving a panel-reviewed FY18 AIE grant will not be eligible to receive mini-grant funding for the 2017-2018 program. For more information, contact the AIE program manager at 501-324-9769.
