Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre

Watch Kate and Petruchio duke it out on their way to falling in love in Shakespeare’s hilarious battle of the sexes The Taming of the Shrew. AST’s production is a one-hour adaptation of this classic comedy, designed for audiences of all ages to enjoy. It features music, physical comedy, and of course Shakespeare’s famous words, designed to be fun and accessible for everyone.

Established through the University of Central Arkansas in 2006, the mission of Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre is to entertain, engage, and enrich the community by creating professional and accessible productions of Shakespeare and other works that promote educational opportunities, community involvement, and the highest artistic standards. In pursuing this mission, we seek to be a source of pride and an invaluable resource to our university, our community, and to Central Arkansas.
