Charley Sandage & Harmony

Charley Sandage & Harmony

Charley Sandage and Harmony (a Mountain View trio comprising Mary and Robert Gillihan and Dave Smith) present original songs in a traditional style telling stories about people and events that shaped Arkansas.  A special concert based their latest CD, which is devoted to Arkansans’ experiences during the Civil War years, may be of interest wherever Civil War Sesquicentennial events are planned, but their regular all-era concert is available, as are presentations designed for school groups and younger children.  The trio is featured in all concerts, with Charley available whenever requested to add short narratives about each song and to join on some vocals.  As appropriate, traditional and current songs and tunes are added, and the group uses an array of traditional instruments including fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, autoharp, bass, button accordion, harmonica, pickin’ bow, and spoons.
