Felice Farrell

Cellist Felice Farrell presents different concerts featuring either music for the cello and piano, or works for cello and other instruments. Her range of literature includes music from 1500 to present day. Programs for cello and piano feature standard cello literature; programs for cello and guitar feature works by such composers as Paganini and Piazzola, along with Spanish music and popular arrangements. Concerts for cello and flute showcase mostly Baroque selections, sometimes accompanied by harpsichord. Recitals for cello or cello/violin duos select from works composed from the 17th to the 21st Century.

Felice Magendanz Farrell was born into a musical family of three generations of performers. She holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree with Performer’s Certificate from Indiana University, where she was Teaching Assistant to famed cellist Janos Starker. Ms. Farrell was Acting Principal and Associate Principal Cello of the Minnesota Orchestra, and then Solo Cello of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. She was with the Affiliate Artist Management in New York City and has served on faculties of Indiana University, the University of Minnesota, the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, and the University of Central Arkansas.

For eighteen years, Ms. Farrell has been a member of the Kapelle Trio, which has toured the US and Europe. In September 2015, she performed and taught Master Classes in Italy.
