Linda Holzer

A versatile performer, pianist Linda Holzer presents expressive works from the classical masters to dazzling contemporary works by North & South American, and Asian composers. Her concerts highlight favorites for solo piano, and may include selections for piano plus other instruments. Interested in a concert about Arkansas heritage? Linda has a concert program featuring the music of Little Rock native, pioneering African-American composer Florence Price, and other American composers.

Concerts are designed to appeal to listeners of all ages, and include conversational commentary for the audience. Workshops are available for piano teachers and students on topics such as: "Healthy Keyboarding for Computer Users," "Injury Prevention in Piano Technique," and "Pianists as Entrepreneurs!" For a piano master class, Linda works on interpretive choices with students and recommends that for a one-hour session no more than three students be selected to perform. A professor of music at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Linda Holzer has concertized in 30 states, as well as abroad in Melbourne, Australia, at Qingdao University in mainland China, at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and at the Palffy Palace in Bratislava, Slovakia.
