Melinda LaFevers is a performance artist who brings a multi-media hands-on approach to life in the Middle Ages from a woman's point of view. Her program "Life in a Castle" includes demonstrations of spinning, weaving, and dyeing, interspersed with traditional Medieval songs, stories, and more. A separate presentation on "Pioneer Life" is also available. If additional workshops are scheduled, participants may choose from such hands-on activities as spinning yarn, making paper, or felting a juggling ball.
