Redmond Keisler

Redmond Keisler has been playing and demonstrating an instrument since 1979 that is practically unknown to most people—the resophonic guitar. A member of the Keisler Brothers Bluegrass Band, Redmond also is available for workshops that explain the history of this horizontal guitar in conjunction with a second rhythm guitar player. The unique resonance of the guitar is an important part of the bluegrass sound, and Redmond’s presentation explains how the instrument is constructed and played. The presentation is power point assisted with preliminary study guides.
