Wild Beats Piano Trio

Wild Beats Piano Trio

The Wild Beats Piano Trio features young and exciting players of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. Pianist Tatiana Roitman, cellist David Gerstein, and violinist Meredith Maddox-Hicks bring the joy of chamber music to the stage for audiences around the state. Their repertoire for three players ranges from Classical to contemporary.

Tatiana Roitman has appeared as a soloist and recitalist across North American and Europe. As a performer of contemporary works, she has worked with James Levine, Dawn Upshaw, Yo-Yo Ma, Charles Rosen, and Claude Frank. Tatiana’s interpretations of solo, concerto, and chamber repertoire are characterized by their warmth and emotional intensity.

Currently principal cellist of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, David Gerstein is a devoted performer of chamber and contemporary music, playing concerts all over the world—from the stage of Carnegie Hall to the Great Wall of China. David has maintained an active relationship with performing and promoting new works by little-known composers. As a chamber musician, David is also a member of the Arkansas Symphony’s flagship string quartet, the Quapaw Quartet.

Meredith Maddox Hicks joined the ASO in 2002 after completing Doctoral work at Florida State University. Considering chamber music her first love, Meredith is also a member of the Quapaw Quartet and Meshugga, Arkansas’s only Klezmer band. She is an instructor of violin and viola at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, teaches privately, and is a member of the Suzuki Association.
