ARTalks December Lineup

Arkansas Arts Council - Monday, December 07, 2020

The last two ARTalks livestreams will be Dec. 10 and Dec. 17!

Join us to learn more about the people behind Arkansas’s creative economy! Director Patrick Ralston interviews a new guest at 1 p.m. every Thursday for ARTalks, a livestream show highlighting the creative minds behind our creative economy.

Drew UlrichDrew Ulrich, exhibition curator, for the Delta Cultural Center in Helena.

The Delta Cultural Center is a museum dedicated to the history of the Arkansas Delta. The museum interprets the heritage of the 27 county Delta region through exhibits, educational programs, arts and culture, events and guided tours. The Center serves as a resource and a local, regional, national and even international destination.

The Delta Cultural Center houses a broadcast booth where two regular programs celebrate our rich musical heritage. The legendary King Biscuit Time radio show and Delta Sounds radio show feature music from a variety of musical genres.

Dec. 17

Hannah MayHannah May, lead educator of art and design at the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub in Little Rock, will talk about programs, events, arts in education and upcoming workshops.

The Innovation Hub is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of Arkansans by inspiring innovation and expanding opportunities. Since the Hub’s opening in 2014, its state-of-the-art facilities have provided tools and training to entrepreneurs, students and other makers and has prepared them to join and grow Arkansas’s creative economy.

The Hub sees an Arkansas where, regardless of demographic identifiers or geographic location, Arkansans are generating and inspiring innovation in cutting-edge technology, business and creative fields. The Innovation Hub uses tools, skills and expertise to inspire innovators and entrepreneurs who expand the range of educational and economic opportunities for themselves, for their communities, in our state and throughout the world.
