Accessibility Focus Groups Scheduled in Four Communities

We are currently seeking information about the experiences individuals with disabilities and the elderly have in attending and participating in the arts. In an effort to gather information, we are hosting Accessibility Focus Groups in four communities in Arkansas. In addition to the targeted populations, we are inviting organizations and agencies that provide support to those with disabilities and the elderly. Also invited are organizations and people who provide cultural arts programs and activities, such as visual arts, theater, dance, photography, etc.

The information we gain will help us in raising awareness that the arts should be available and enjoyed by all people. Accessibility Focus Groups are scheduled in the following communities:

May 14, 11:00 a.m. - Noon
East Arkansas Community College
Black Box Theater
1700 New Castle Road
Forrest City

May 15, 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Eddie Mae Herron Center & Museum
1708 Archer Street
Pocahontas

June 24, 2 - 3 p.m.
Texarkana Arts and Humanities Council

Texarkana

June 25, 5 - 6 p.m.
J. Austin White Cultural Center
