Art/Voice/Arkansas Aims to Share Students' Work

We are taking submissions for visual and literary art by Arkansas students in kindergarten through 12th grades. We want to hear from our young artists, so send us a video or photo of your best artworks – from visual to literary – and let us share with the world.

Submissions include but are not limited to:

Literary Art: Short stories, essays, graphic novels, poems, comic scripts and prose.

Visual Art: Painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photography, filmmaking, design, craftsand architecture.

Send us a video of you talking about, doing or performing your artwork. Send us your slam poetry, paintings, arts experiments and more! We want to hear your voices and help share the talent of Arkansas.

GUIDELINES FOR ENTRY

Entry for Art/Voice/Arkansas is free and open to all Arkansas students. We encourage young artists to explore any theme, but artwork must not include vulgarity or offensive language or images. We reserve the right not to publish content deemed inappropriate.

Artists or guardians may enter up to three submissions at a time in one or multiple categories. Submitted videos can be up to 5 minutes long.

Accepted submissions will be posted to AAC digital platforms and to the AAC website. By submitting art to AAC, students and guardians agree to allow the digital publication of their work.

All submissions must be made through email. No physical submissions will be accepted.

 

SUBMISSION FORMAT

Please submit your video, photos or documents via email to Drekkia Morning, arts in education program manager, at [email protected]. Videos may be sent directlyto the arts in education program manager as an attachment (if under 1 minute) or by sharing a link to the artwork via Dropbox, Google Drive or YouTube. Directions for using YouTube are available at https://youtu.be/muArhhzYdTY.

Literary works should be one page and sent in a .pdf or .doc format. Photos should about 300 dpi. Low-quality images or video may not be useable.

Any Arkansas student or homeschooler may enter. We encourage teacher, family or guardian participation that showcases the talent, creativity and community of Arkansas’s young artists.

Submissions must include ALL of the following information:

  • Subject: Your Name, Submission. (Example: John Doe, Submissions)
  • Full Name:
  • School Name (or Homeschool):
  • Guardian Name:
  • Guardian Email:
  • Artist statement: (short description of submission of up to 100 words)
  • Title of work:
