The NEA Turns 50 This Year And Wants To Know Your Story

Arkansas Arts Council - Monday, April 20, 2015

This year, 2015, is the 50th anniversary of the signing of the National Foundation on the Arts and the Humanities Act of 1965, which created the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities. To better recount the story of the NEA and the arts in America, the NEA wants to know your story of how the arts have influenced your life. Specifically, the NEA would like to know how the arts are part of your day, how the arts have inspired you to do something unique, how they have made a difference among you and your family, as well as in the communities and neighborhoods in which you live. Also, if there is a specific NEA grant that has had an impact on you and your community, the NEA would like to know! Click HERE to submit your story. Starting September 29, the date the Act was signed by President Lyndon B. Johnson, the NEA will begin posting stories on our website and promoting them across our social media.
