If you are a beginning writer, a published writer or a high school student who loves to write, you are invited to attend this one-day, memoir-writing workshop. This workshop will provide basic writing tips, instructions on how to prepare a story for a book and explore publishing options.

Morning refreshments and a variety of lunch choices will be provided.

The workshop will be led by Janis F. Kearney, who is a writer, publisher, journalist and writing instructor. Kearney was inducted into the Arkansas Writers Hall of fame in 2016. She served eight years in the Clinton Presidency as a white house media affairs specialist, then as the director of Public Communications for the U.S. Small Business Administration. She served the last five years of his presidency as the Personal Diarist to President Clinton.

Kearney has penned several books and founded a publishing company.

Please let staff know if an attendee needs support for accessibility, including sight, hearing and food. The venue is fragrance free. Parking is available in the front and rear of the building, but all participants must enter through the front door.
