Symphony of Northwest Arkansas (SoNA)

Celebrating 61 years, the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas has been providing musical performances and educational opportunities to Northwest Arkansas since 1954, when it began as the North Arkansas Symphony. After a hiatus from 2008 to 2011, during which time the organization restructured and renewed its commitment to artistic excellence, SoNA unveiled its new name and returned to the stage of Walton Arts Center to play again to sold-out audiences and rave reviews. SoNA is comprised of approximately seventy-five auditioned musicians from nine states and the United Kingdom under the direction of Juilliard graduate Paul Haas. SoNA is a resident company of Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville. The Ozarks Philarmonic Youth Orchestras, Inc (OPYO) is an affiliate of SoNA.
